Pressure Measurement for Hydrogen Systems
Water electrolyzers, hydrogen storage banks, fuel cell test skids & dispensing manifolds
Why Standard Catalog Sensors Often Fail in this Application
Hydrogen is the smallest molecule and can cause hydrogen embrittlement in certain metallic crystal lattices, alongside high risk of permeation through standard seals.
What to Specify When Ordering for this Process
- All-welded 316L wetted design with low nickel carbon content to resist embrittlement
- Zero internal elastomer O-rings (all-metal seal interface)
- Helium mass spectrometer leak proofing prior to shipment
- High burst margin (3x to 5x nominal working pressure)
Consult with an ACT engineer regarding operating pressure and gas purity levels to determine whether special diaphragm passivation or gold plating is warranted.
